Breakbeat Era are Bristol-based singer/songwriter Lennie Laws, DJ Die and acclaimed drum n bass producer Roni Size. Coming from a drum n bass scene that has been primarily contained within club culture, Breakbeat Era push the genre forward by injecting a rock sensibility into their sound while producing a layer of backing tracks that will rouse any dancefloor. As such, the drum and bass scene hasn't produced anything as innovative and accessible as the Breakbeat Era project since Roni Size Reprazent's project and their album ‘New Forms.’ Reprazent’s live American debut in New York at El Flamingo’s was also in fact the launch of Miles A Head the concert series that has since moved into it’s second season. This event is one of four remaining Miles A Head events this year. Previous Miles A Head series DJ nights with the likes of Kruder and Dorfmeister, LTJ Bukem and Fatboy Slim have all proven to be great nights for dancing and fresh exciting music, whilst previous Miles A Head live shows with the likes of Massive Attack, Reich Remixed live! and Tom Ze have showcased some of the best of current live music available. This special show will be bringing both worlds together with a storming live set from Breakbeat Era and dancefloor filling sets from Roni Size, DJ Die and their talented microphone assistant Dynamite MC.
