ROMON YANG AKA RO-STARR
|
 Romon is a New York based painter, art director and graphic designer born in Taegu, Korea. As a painter his work weaves a personal vocabulary of iconography, type, and shapes into an abstract polymorphic painting style which he calls 'Graphysics'. The diversity of his work can be found on album covers, t-shirts and magazines as well as in galleries.
In 1995 he was commissioned by the Starr Foundation, a New York based design firm specializing in art direction, illustration, design & typography. His recent work can be seen in ID (UK), Trace, Ape (UK), List, Relax (Tokyo) and Tokion magazines.
In January 2000 he was featured as one of I.D. magazine's "40 under 30". Recently, he had a show at the Houston gallery in Seattle WA in June, and he will be showing at K-Bond, LA in September.
