Giant Step sprang from a dream to change the way popular music is promoted and marketed in the US. Starting out as concert and event promoters, the Company has followed the logical progression of its passions and interests to become an international lifestyle organization on the cutting-edge of musical exploration.

Its co-founders, Maurice Bernstein (UK) and Jonathan Rudnick (South Africa) established Giant Step in New York in 1990 with similar dreams. Both had witnessed the emerging dance scene in Europe in the late 80s and early 90s and were surprised to find clubs in New York focused predominantly on the "scene" rather than supporting a musical community and creativity.

Maurice and Jonathan set out to change this by establishing an environment where people could dance, interact with artists and DJs and discover new music. Ten years later, the Company has evolved into a flourishing guerrilla marketing and promotion business, with its own record label and a thriving concert and club scene.
